Envirnomental Working Group (EWG)

The EWG is a non-profit organisation whose mission is to protect the vulnerable and lobby for national policy change. 

The EWG is also responsible for a great resource called the Skin Deep Cosmetic Database.  Although this resource is focused on skin care and cosmetics available in America, it still makes for some interesting reading.

The Campaign For Safe Cosmetics

This ongoing campaign is a coalition effort to protect both consumers and workers against harmful ingredients used in the cosmetics and personal care industry.  They achieve this through corporate, regulatory and legislative reform.
